Winter trips
Natur i nord offer various tours ranging in duration from 3 to 14 hours. Participants must provide their own clothing and footwear. Pickup from the hotels downtown Tromsø. The winter season runs from the 1st of October to the 1st of April. From the 10th of November we normally have enough snow for skiing.
The prices are for the 2009/2010 winter season.

CROSSCOUNTRY SKIING CRASH COURSE
Crosscountry skiing for everyone ! A humorous ski instructor reveals all the tricks to mastering this most Norwegian of all sports. A perfect beginning or a good refreshing !Just 15 min outside Tromsø we are using tracks whith flood lights. Here we also have a fantastic view over the fjords and mountains around Tromsø.
The prices includes ski rental and transportation.
Duration 2-3 hours.

We can also offer crosscountry skiing outside tracks to other areas. We have tours at the coast but also inland. Ask for more information. These trips are not suitable for beginners.

SNOWSHOEING
A trip through a landscape of snow, sea and mountains just outside Tromsø ! A trip for everyone.
Duration 2-3 hours.

NATURE-GUIDING
A roundtrip by minbus (bus) in a fantastic winter coastel landscape. As we drive through this unique nature, I will tell you about the nature and local history. We take a break at a small cafe with local Glass arts. At the trip we normally see some reindeers, the white tailed eagle and differnet seabirds.

Natur i nord is one of the companies with the longest experience to find the Northern lights in the areas around Tromsø.
The Northern lights bus
The most flexible way to find the northern lights ! If it is clouded around Tromsø the Northern lights bus will bring you to an area with less cloudes. When we find the spot we just wait for the show to start !
If the weather is ok, the Northern lights bus brings you to Ramfjord where we have our basecamp with warm clothes, a lavvo with a warm fire and a reindeer skin to sit on while waiting for the lights.
Coffee/tea and a cake.

Northern lights with a dinner visit
We bring you to Ramfjord, our basecamp at the end of a fjord surrounded by steep mountains. Here we provide you with warm clothes, a lavvo with a warm fire and a reindeer skin to sit on while waiting for the lights. The dinner will be served indoors after about 1,5 hour. The dinner is reindeer stew and smoked salmon.
If it is clouded around Ramfjord we will join the Northern lights bus to find an area with less cloudes. When we find the spot we just wait for the show to start ! On these trips we reduce the dinner to just smoked salmon with coffee/tea and a cake.
